The Stokes Model 516 is a heavy-duty 15 Ton rotary press designed for double-sided operation. The press can handle up to 2 1/4'' fill and 3 1/2'' compact sizes. Optional 20 ton force is available.
Construction Features
Mainframe and crosshead are sturdy machined castings and cams. Pressure rolls are hardened steel for superior tool and part life. The two piece head is precision machined to ensure accurate tool alignment and guarantee the die table is precision ground and polished.
Pin Type Transit Level Feeder
The feeder funnels material directly over the die cavity. Stationary pins cause a cascading action that improves filling of the dies for accurate tablet weights. An adjustable gate also maintains fluidity tunnel of granulation and prevents packing in the frame.
Three Point Transit Leveling
Arrangement permits simple and precise setup of feed frame. No resetting of feeder is required.
Stainless Steel Hopper
Vertical adjustment and lock provision.
Dust Removal Suction Nozzles
Positioned above and below the die table for clean operation.
Safety Features
Locking the lever in a disengaged position reduces the likelihood of accidental starting. All guards are interlocked to prevent access during operation.
Adjustable Spring Release
Release maintains desired pressure and helps protect tools against damage or breakage in case of accidental overload. Pneumatic release is optional.
Lower Punch Adjustment
At ejection, allows for the use of reworked tooling.
Adjustable Upper Roll
This feature permits compacting of tablets at various points in the die, which extends die life. It also minimizes capping and laminating of tablets.
Handwheel Control
Press speed, fill and pressure settings.
Keywayed Upper Punch Sockets
These sockets provide punch alignment when producing tablets of irregular shape are standard.
